What you will learn
On this interactive course, led by frontline kaimahi and managers, you will learn about the PARTH framework, the evidence behind it and practical techniques for building and sustaining change-focused relationships with rangatahi and tāngata.
Who is the training for?
This training is for anyone who works with rangatahi, tāngata, tamariki and whānau. PARTH focuses on how to ‘be’ not what to do, so it fits with any other professional knowledge and frameworks. We have trained youth workers, social workers, teachers, early-childhood teachers, counsellers, psychologists, midwives, whānau workers and other social service kaimahi, corrections/justice staff and health and education professionals.
Managers
PARTH training shows you how to use the suite of tools and resources that can create a shared language and approach to reflect on practice in teams and organisations.
“Our staff have a common language about their practice. Language is the thread that holds culture together and we know that everyone knows what they are talking about, from the early education teachers, the counsellors, social workers and youth workers as well as the finance officers and the programme leaders.”

Experienced Kaimahi
Rediscover your why. PARTH training helps you connect with your relational super-powers and identify areas to work on.
“I feel I like already do relationship building and that’s one of my strengths. But getting all these extra areas to focus on that I might not have been, and to articulate what I am seeing, it's been good.”

New Kaimahi
PARTH training is a great orientation to human services. It shows the value of the relationship and offers practical and simple ideas to get the best impact from small actions.
“Hearing other people's opinions on what I was doing and having that feedback was invaluable. It was fantastic and really helped me feel more confident in the work I was doing.”

PARTH Training is delivered by three kaitiaki organisations who have accredited trainers.
PARTH Taster Modules
Kaimahi and researchers in Aotearoa have created these quick taster modules to give you a brief overview of PARTH that you can explore in your own time. Below are 3 brief powerpoint introductory modules and a Pick-a-PARTH scenario learning module. Some of the resources have quizzes. You will be asked for contact details to help us learn about who is using our resources. We may get in touch with you to let you know about future training events.
