Supervision tool

What is this and how do you use it?

Supervision tool

The PARTH supervision tool supports reflection on relationship-based practice and the use of the PARTH framework. It is adapted from a resource created by Justina Webster of KōhatuCreationz.

At the top is space to summarise a recent interaction with a rangatahi. Underneath is a table, with the different letters of PARTH across the top and some reflective questions down the left side. You can use the questions on the left to think about your mahi in relation to each PARTH element (word). You could start by thinking of a small, every-day interaction, such as a conversation in a car whilst driving a rangatahi. This will help you think about relationship-based practice as part of everyday mahi.

Watch the video to see how this resource has been used by another kaimahi. You can also experience using this resource with real practice examples at PARTH training.

Thanks to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment which funded the research that created this resource (MAUX2006).
